A series of more than 50 illustrations for short stories/essays by the phenomenal Belgian author and cultural historian David Van Reybrouck, in which he writes/dedicates an ode to a person, event, memory, feeling, beauty, music, art piece etc. The stories were initially published on the Dutch web platform for independent journalism The Correspondent. Thenceforth were the stories together with the illustrations collected all together in a book format and published in the Netherlands and Belgium by De Bezige Bij publishing company, Insel Verlag in Germany and Actes Sud in France.
